Mistakes and Opportunities

Mistakes and Opportunities

Mistakes and opportunities we all have done or missed things and now have regret.

Have you made a mistake and missed an opportunity, or you want to make your life better and change your current situation?

Opportunities are everywhere, have you ever been somewhere or seen something and thought, I could do that better or what this needs is? I am sure we all have.

Sometimes an opportunity can come along for the chance to change your life, do you grab hold of it or let fear of the unknown take over.

Opportunity Missed Taken

Action Taker

Are you the type of person who want success and takes action or are you an armchair dreamer waiting for that miracle pot of gold! If you are the latter, then procrastination will set in, and if, you keep putting off following through, guess what another lost opportunity.

We all see it, the Guru’s telling us follow these easy steps and within hours you will be earning hundreds of dollars, guess what there are no easy steps. All of these ploys are to entice and trap that armchair dreamer.

When a real opportunity presents itself, you will know, take hold of it follow through and work at it.

Success will come to those who follow through, there will be pain and frustration and at times you will come to crossroads where you have two choices continue or quit. Quitters always fail, keep going putting in the effort and likely, five years from now you will be in a position to retire and be earning a very comfortable passive income?

I often promote Wealthy Affiliate in my posts; they have the best training available online; all the tools and support to build a website. You can start your own online business or use a website to get your business known it’s all there on Wealthy Affiliate for “FREE”.

Mistakes and Opportunities

Follow Through

The interesting thing is I have seen people sign up as a member and go no further.
On the person joining, I always send a follow-up email to assist and encourage the new member. In my email I always say; don’t waste your time by not following up and creating your profile, and doing the free course to build your website and online business. If you are serious about creating an online business, you have come to the right place. Building an online business takes effort and commitment, if you are committed and put in the work, you will be on your way to building a successful online business.

I don’t think I can offer more than that; I receive no compensation for a free member unless they decide to become a full paying premium member.

The thing is, what is being offered here is “Free” you can learn how to build a website, build and host a website, all it takes is your time.

Mistakes and Opportunities

I recommend if you make the effort to sign-up and join Wealthy Affiliate, follow all the steps, make the effort and don’t pass on what is possibly a life changing opportunity.

If you choose Wealthy Affiliate all the best and I along with many others in the WA community including its founders, will support and guide you all for free.

Don’t pass on opportunities always be alert and follow through.

All the best in your business

  1. There are so many so-called opportunities out there, thanks for cutting through the hype and getting to the facts. I have thought about starting my own blog, with what you say this could be very simple.

    • Great stuff Franklin, starting your own blog can bring a lot of self-satisfaction and it’s a great way to share your thoughts and experiences, all the best.

  2. I could not agree more. Love the analogy of the armchair dreamer the world is full of them and I suppose I have been guilty at times. I am now inspired to take action, I have been watching a site with an opportunity for a while, well now here goes.

    • Hi Kirk, it’s great to see you are going to take action. A word of caution the internet is full of sites that are scams, we advise you do your research on any site promoting “Opportunities” read up on articles reviewing that site and its offer. If it is genuine all the best and let us know how it works out.

  3. Hello, Darren, thank you for your article. I enjoyed reading it and it’s strange how I chanced upon it today.
Earlier on, I had mentioned to someone that I wished I had not passed on my dad’s offer to send me to horse-riding school when I was young, and it struck me when he said life is like that, we all have regrets.
Having learnt from my personal experiences in life and some motivational gurus, I have grown wiser and fully agree that if we have a dream but fail to plan and take any action, nothing will change. In order to achieve success, the first step is to be an action taker and a doer.
The opportunity to build a free website and learn how to start an online business sound like an opportunity not to be missed.

    • Hi, Sue and thank you for your comment. It is true we all have regrets, but the important thing is we don’t let these regrets become stumbling blocks, turn them around and use it as a learning experience. No matter what our age or status in life we can all learn, it’s fantastic to see you want to take action and follow up on the opportunity to build a website and, an online business. You are right this is an opportunity not to be missed, all the best and I wish you success.

P.S. Keep in touch and drop a note and tell us how you are going with your new opportunity, I am sure our readers would like to hear your success.

  4. Hello, Darren, thank you for your article. I enjoyed reading it and it’s strange how I chanced upon it.
Just today, I was telling someone that I wished I had taken up my dad’s offer to send me to horse-riding school when I was young but instead I passed on the opportunity, and it struck me when he said life is like that, we all have regrets.
As I have learnt from personal experiences in life (from the school of hard knocks) and some motivational gurus, I have grown wiser, and fully agree that if we only have a dream but fail to take any action, nothing will change. Only the action takers and the doers will be one step closer to achieving success.
An opportunity to build a free website and learn how to start an online business sounds too good to be missed.

    • Thank’s Sandy, We can only move forward often stumble blocks can put us back and our dreams seem out of reach, the reality is our dreams only fade they never go away. Reignite those dreams take action adn you will have success.

  5. I do agree with all the ideas you’ve offered on your post.
They are very convincing and can certainly work.

  6. I have tried what the so called Guru’s tell us and yes it’s a trap so far I have spent hundreds and they are the ones making the money, not me. I am not what you say an armchair dreamer I want to make money online and keep trying, but for me my patience is running low if this Wealthy Affiliate is as good as you say and its free maybe I will give it a go.

    • Hi Sabrina, glad you haven’t given up, remember Wealthy Affiliate is only a tool to help you on the road to making money online. There is no magic tool or program out there that will make you rich. Making money online is a business and you need to treat it as such, any business takes commitment and only by being committed and putting in the effort will help you make a success of it. All the best and I am sure by putting in the effort asking for help and follow the training you will find success with Wealthy Affiliate.

  7. Years ago I was offered shares in a jewelry business, at the time I was very attracted to the offer, but in the end I considered it too pie in the sky. Now fast forward a few years and that jewelry store is now a chain one of the biggest in New Zealand.

Women like me, usually tend to go overboard with the thinking and because I was not being rational I missed out big time and what a big miss it was.

Don’t worry I am fully recovered (almost) I now have a very successful fashion business of my own, I am always on the lookout for new opportunities and I tell you they are everywhere. I made one big mistake once and make sure it never happens again.

Its post like this that alert us and give a timely reminder. Thanks for the wake-up call, Marion.

    • Hi Marion, You have been there and done that. Yes, you are right, and I couldn’t agree more, there are opportunities everywhere.

I was taking out the garbage today, ours is a large communal bin as such a lot ends up on the floor. I looked at the mess in disgust, but then thought what can I do to improve it. A simple solution is to have a large shovel in the corner for all to use and clean up their spillages. I went to the hardware and bought one myself and I will talk to the Grounds manager tomorrow to advise him.

Anyway, that’s a short-term fix, the problem is the bins are too high, and most people can’t reach. I do have a long-term solution that requires a bit of redesign and manufacture, but the point is I found and opportunity and grabbed it.

I am so glad things worked out for you, and now you are an opportunity taker, not a passerby. Best wishes and all the best with your business and new opportunities.

  8. Good reminder, we should never look back and always grab opportunities as the arrive, move too slow and say bye bye to another missed one. Thanks Taj

  9. Thanks for the good writeup. It was an enjoyment to read, I will look at wealthy affiliate, I have been looking at how to get online maybe this is an opportunity not to pass so I will be looking into it.
By the way, how can we be in contact?

  10. I read this article after a friend of mine suggested I should. I recently had an opportunity to buy a piece of land and a rock bottom price, I convinced myself I couldn’t afford it, how stupid I was, the property value has now skyrocketed and is worth 5 times the price it was offered to me, and appears to be increasing. Looking back I could have borrowed the money and now I would be in a much better situation. I have changed my attitude and the next opportunity that I see I will be jumping in. Thanks for the heads up. Nats

    • Hi Nats I am sorry you let that opportunity pass, keep your eyes alert I have know doubt anothr will come your way very soon.

  11. I like how you describe the armchair dreamer, I think there is a little bit of that in all of us, as you say do that often and procrastination will set in and life with its opportunities will pass us by. Thanks for the info Bev.

    • Thanks for your comment Bev, I hope to take that next opportunity by the horns and find success.

  12. I really enjoyed reading this, I often look back and think I should have followed up on that, I guess its another missed opportunity. I think I will now grab that next opportunity that comes my way. Thanks for the advice Anne

    • Yes Anne, there are opportunities made available to us every day they seem to pop up everywhere, the question we need to ask ourselves am I alert to them or do I just pass them off as irrelevant. Each day when you are out and about, you read signs see people doing their daily activities look a little closer and see what ideas you come up with, I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

  13. Very good article, I think there are times we look back on with regret, I will be on the lookout for those opportunities and look closer from now. Thanks for the wakeup. VB

  14. I enjoyed your article, thanks for providing very practicle information. You are correct often when an opportunity arises, we only give a token effort or worse let it pass, now I will be alert to opportunities and will definetly take action.

  15. I have experienced the same in my life, now when something comes along I grab hold and follow through, sometimes it may not work out but what’s important is I tried. I know if I don’t follow through and give it a go, this means, I have failed! What have we got to lose life is too short to waste. Really good article keep it up thanks.

    • Thanks for your comment John, you are right life is too short, a missed opportunity is the chance to make our life better look out for them and take hold run with it.I suggest you read the article on starting a business and downloading our e-book
